ABOUT RUBY
Drawing inspiration from her early life in inner-city Baltimore and the mossy Pacific Northwest where she currently resides, Ruby’s work illuminates the beauty that we all seek to capture. Drawing on subjects that swim between the seen and unseen, her tattooing technique is rooted in detailed line-work and intentional placements that flow intuitively with the body.
She is captivated by contrasting themes of nature: stillness and fluidity, death and rebirth; and expresses them technically with strong positive-negative space and texture.
Ruby strives to capture the essence of those who sit in her chair as well as her surreal dreamscapes and the creatures that inhabit them.
